We can offer assistance to local organisations in gaining access to a pool of skilled local interpreters in several in-demand languages. Our interpreting service is a ‘Pay Per Use’ model and can be provided at competitively low rates. By utilizing this service, you are supporting local interpreters.

Our interpreters are fully certified with the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters. This certification ensures that our Interpreters understand and adhere to the professional guidelines and ethics associated with interpreting; such as confidentiality, accuracy, and impartiality.

There is an exciting opportunity for skilled individuals in Toowoomba to be trained as interpreters or to work with CatholicCare as an interpreter.

Our Interpreting service provides an opportunity for local speakers of more than one language to:

  • Develop their skills required and understand what is expected of interpreters;
  • Operate in a nurturing environment while you understand the responsibilities and ethical obligations of an interpreter;
  • Gain nationally recognised certification in interpreting and/or translating.

Through our interpreting service we support local organisations to access a pool of skilled local interpreters in several in-demand languages.

About the Certification

We can provide support through the process of certification with the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters. Certification acknowledges your ability to meet the professional standards expected in Australia for translation and interpreting.

Candidates will be selected based on demand for languages, English proficiency, and other suitability criteria. Limited positions are available. Candidates who successfully engage with the program will be considered for casual employment through CatholicCare Interpreting.
