Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential, short-term counselling service to assist employees with work or personal issues impacting on their personal wellbeing, work performance and team morale.
This critical service supports businesses by providing proactive and preventative interventions to identify and resolve work and/or personal problems that may be adversely affecting an employee’s work performance and overall wellbeing.

EAP Counselling services are 100% confidential. No information regarding what is discussed within a counselling and mediation session or on-site response is provided to any other person or organisation without prior consent, including the employer.

What is an employee assistance program?
Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) are voluntary employer-sponsored programs that help employees navigate stressful or challenging life situations. The Business Resilience Centre’s (BRC)’s EAP offers a suite of affordable, pay-per-use services to support healthy workplaces. Services include confidential short-term counselling, on-site critical incident responses and workplace mediation. Additional services such as wellbeing and psycho-social workshops, workplace culture support, professional supervision and interpreting can also be provided.
Are employers required to have an employee assistance program?
Employers are not required to have an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), however supporting the mental health of employees has never been more important. The benefits of workplace EAPs have been well documented and include improved work performance and productivity; reduced absenteeism; increased staff retention; and resolution of work-related problems.
What does EAP cover?
The Business Resilience Centre’s Employee Assistance Program includes confidential short-term counselling for your employees and their immediate family members, on-site critical incident response options, and workplace conflict and mediation services. How does the EAP program work?
The Business Resilience Centre’s (BRC) Employee Assistance Program is affordable and accessible for all businesses in Toowoomba and South West Queensland whether large or small! Businesses enter into an agreement with the BRC to provide EAP services. Staff can then contact the BRC directly to access individual counselling sessions with one of our qualified counsellors. Sessions are available in-person at our Toowoomba office, or by video or telephone. An appointment will be made available to staff within three business days. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
